I Want to be a King at Derby

Feature-length documentary I Want to be a King, produced by the Documentary and Experimental Film Centre (DEFC) and directed by Mehdi Ganji, has been admitted to the competition section of Derby Film Festival in England.
It’s only the 6th edition of the festival which will be held April 29th – May 8th.
The focus of this edition will be on topics of traveling and tourism.
The 70 min I Want to be a King is about Abbas Barzegar, a villager who receives international tourists and arranges tours for them.
Mehdi Ganji has won the Best Director Award from the 33rd Fajr Int’l Film Festival in Tehran, Special Jury Award from the 15th Flahertiana Film Festival in Russia, Best Documentary Award from San Francisco’s Iranian Films Festival, the Audience Award from Chagrin Documentary Film Festival and the Best Film Award from Iranian Films Festival in Prague, all with this film.
