"Paper Flowers" animation: A dream come true
Directed by Ramak Amin Kazemi, the “Paper Flowers” is a puppet animation, a type of stop-motion animation involving puppet figures that are animated frame-by-frame.
This animation has been produced by the Documentary, Experimental and Animation Film Center.
She said that the idea of this animation was a personal inspiration for a dream. I had dreamed of a woman standing in a special dress in the midst of a garden and I remember when I woke up the story was formed in my mind to make this animation.
Amin Kazemi said the Paper Flowers is narrative of the woman who is a successful writer, one of whose works has failed.
To make up for this failure she left her hometown and family and took refuge in a deserted mansion to write her new work in isolation.
She added that production process of producing the animation has took four year due to Covid-19 pandemic as well as the lack of labor in stop motion technique.
