Sergeant Saqi Travels to India
The historical documentary Sergeant Saqi directed by Milad Mohammadi and produced by DEFC, entered the competition section of Ahmedabad International Film Festival (AIFF) in India.
According to the Public Relations department of the Documentary, Experimental, and Animation Film Center (DEFC), Sergeant Saqi, which was previously screened at the 18th Iran International Documentary Film Festival, Cinema Verite, tells the life story of Sergeant Ayoub Saghi, the warden of Qezel Qaleh Prison. Qezel Qaleh Prison was well-known among political inmates and the broader public for its famous warden, Sergeant Saqi, a powerful military man whose conflicting behavior and enigmatic past gradually earned him a following among the convicts.
