Special Mention for Haboob
“Haboob” directed by Mahsa Samani and produced by Documentary and Experimental Film Center won the Special Mention of the Trickstar Nature Award 2021 at 28th Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film in Germany.
This competition section presents animated short films dealing with issues of climate protection, biodiversity, the environment, and sustainability in an informative, entertaining, or humorous way.
According to the Jury Statement the special mention given to ‘Haboob’ because of being a very sensitive and touching film with a very clever use of the material it’s talking about as the medium of the film.
