“Holy Heaviness” International Tour Rolls On: Screening Now in the U.S.
The short animation “Holy Heaviness”, directed by Farnoosh Abedi, (Produced by DEFC), will be screened at the 41st Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF) / VC Film Fest.
As reported by the Public Relations Department of Documentary, Experimental & Animation Film Center of Iran (DEFC), the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF), also known as the VC Film Fest, stands as Southern California's premier event celebrating films created by and centered on the stories of Asians and Pacific Islanders from across the globe.
The festival seeks to foster connections across communities and generations through the art of storytelling in film, video, and audio.
“Holy Heaviness” has made numerous international appearances and, like other works by this filmmaker, continues to be showcased at festivals worldwide. The animation follows the story of a father and son. The son's struggles with his past lead to challenges and conflicts within the family.
