The animations "Jiroft" and "The Splint", produced by DEFC will compete in the competition section of Cartoon Club – the International Festival of Animation, Comics, and Games.
According to the Public Relations department of the Documentary, Experimental, and Animation Film Center (DEFC), in its 41st edition, Cartoon Club – the International Festival of Animation, Comics, and Games – is one of the most renowned events on the Italian cultural scene. It offers a vibrant showcase for animation, particularly short films ranging from fictional to educational, experimental, and computer-generated works. A dedicated section, Riminicomix, celebrates the world of comics in all its forms.
The festival also includes a wide array of events and initiatives: – exhibitions; – educational and social projects; – workshops hosted in local schools; – and the publication of books and catalogs. Held throughout July, the festival spreads across Rimini, from the city center to its beachside venues.
The Splint, directed by Mehdi Sedighi, and Jiroft, by Marjan Keshani are two productions of the Documentary, Experimental, and Animation Film Center (DEFC).
