The documentary Hollein in Iran, directed by Hadi Afarideh and produced by DEFC, won an award at the Travel Film Awards (TFA) in Spain.
According to the Public Relations Department of Documentary, Experimental & Animation Film Center of Iran (DEFC), Hollein in Iran by Hadi Afarideh received the Screen Tourism Award at the Travel Film Awards in Spain.
The Travel Film Awards (TFA) is an international film festival devoted entirely to the intersection of cinema and travel, held annually in alignment with UN Tourism’s World Tourism Day theme. In 2025, the theme was 'Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,' showcasing films from around the world that explored travel, human experiences, and our relationship with nature.
The closing ceremony was held on September 29th in Barcelona, at the historic Cinemes Girona. Hollein in Iran also received an honorary diploma and the trophy of the festival.
Hollein in Iran is about the journey of Hans Hollein, the prominent Austrian architect before the Iranian Islamic Revolution. The documentary tells the story of the design and construction of the Glass Museum of Iran by Hollein.
