Paper Flowers Travels to Spain

The short animation “Paper Flowers” directed by Ramak Amin Kazemi and produced by the Documentary; Experimental & Animation Film Center (DEFC) found its way to the 37th Girona Film Festival in Spain.

According to the Public Relations department of Documentary, Experimental, and Animation Film Center (DEFC), the short animation “Paper Flowers” directed by Ramak Amin Kazemi will compete at the competition section of the 37th Girona Film Festival in Spain.

Held annually in the heart of Catalonia, the festival welcomes entries across all cinematic formats—including short films, feature-length productions, documentaries, animated works, youth and children's films, video art, and music videos.

“Paper Flowers” is the story of a successful writer whose latest work was a failure. To make up for this setback, she abandoned her hometown and family, and took refuge in a deserted mansion to write her next work in seclusion.

The Girona Film Festival will be held from November 3 – 7, 2025 in Girona, Spain.

“Paper Flowers” is a production of Documentary, Experimental, and Animation Film Center (DEFC) and previously won the Best Short Animation award at the 20th Kazan International Film Festival.
