The Documentary Captain Solomon, produced by the Documentary and Experimental Film Centre (DEFC) and directed by Saadatali Saeidpoor will be part of the Asian Competition section of the 8th DMZ Docs international film festival in Korea. 102 films from 84 countries will be screened during the 8-day festival which will be held September 22-29, in Gyeonggi Province, Paju and Goyang, South Korea. The Festival, held in less than twenty kilometres from the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) showcases films dealing with \"peace, coexistence and reconciliation”. Captain Solomon is the story of the captain of the now defunct ship on the Urmia salt lake who is now jobless since the lake has dried. He turns to farming, but even this job doesn’t seem to have a future due the Urmia salt lake’s water crisis.
