Cinema Verite's Semi-long Documentaries Competing in the International Section

Eight foreign semi-long documentaries are competing in the international section of the 17th “Cinema Verite” Festival.

The names of eight foreign semi- long documentaries competing in the international section of the 17th "Cinema Verite" Documentary Film Festival have been announced by the Public Relations of the Documentary & Experimental Film Center (DEFC). The documentaries are as follows:

  1. "The End of the Valley of Tears" by Jarosław Wszędybył, Duration: 55 minutes, from Romania.
  2. "Laughing in Afghanistan" by Anneta Papathanasiou, Duration: 55 minutes, from Greece.
  3. "Business as usual" by Chinedum Iregbu, Duration: 43 minutes, from Nigeria.
  4. "The pack" by Tadeusz Chudy, Duration: 52 minutes, from Poland.
  5. "Under Construction" by Markus Toivo, Duration: 61 minutes, from Finland.
  6. "The Wise Mother 'Mevlude Genc'" by Sevinc Yılmaz Taş, Duration: 54 minutes, from Turkey.
  7. "Kalashnikov Society" by Christophe Karabache, Duration: 54 minutes, from Lebanon.
  8. "Holding up the sky" by Pieter Van Eecke, Duration: 60 minutes, a joint production of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Brazil.

The 17th "Cinema Verite" International Documentary Film Festival, under the direction of Mohammad Hamidi Moghaddam, is scheduled to take place from December 18 to 23 at the Charsou Cineplex.
