“Paper Flowers” Wins Best Animation at Kazan Film Festival

The short animation “Paper Flowers” directed by Ramak Amin Kazemi and produced by Documentary, Experimental & Animation Film Center (DEFC) has been awarded the Best Short Animation at the 20th “Altyn Minbar” Kazan International Film Festival, held in Kazan, Russia.

This animation competed for the main award of the 20th “Altyn Minbar” Kazan International Film Festival alongside with works from Argentina, Russia, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Egypt, India and Oman.

“Paper Flowers” is the story of a successful writer whose latest work was a failure. To make up for this setback, she abandoned her hometown and family, and took refuge in a deserted mansion to write her next work in seclusion.

“Paper Flowers” is a production of Documentary, Experimental & Animation Film Center (DEFC) of Iran.

The closing ceremony of the festival was held on September 11, 2024 in Kazan, Russia.
