Turkmenistan Is Ready to Share Filmmaking Ideas with Iran
Turkmen filmmaker Rovshen Velmiyev, speaking at the Iran International Cinema Verite Film Festival, said: We're interested to share filmmaking ideas with Iran.
Rovshen Velmiyev, the Turkmen filmmaker pointed to evaluating cooperation opportunities as his primary motive for travelling to Iran and taking part in the Cinema Verite film festival and added: In techniques used, ideas and storytelling, Iranian Cinema is extraordinary. In Turkmenistan, we count Iranian Cinema as one the most special in the world.
Highlighting that Majid Majidi, one of Iran’s renowned directors, has produced extraordinary works, Velmiyev added: “I can also point to remarkable achievements in the field of documentary filmmaking, where Iran holds a distinguished place.”
“We're interested to share filmmaking ideas with Iran.” The Special Guest of Cinema Verite Film Festival from Turkmenistan emphasized.
Rovshen Velmiyev noted that Iranian filmmakers are recognized on a global scale, and continued: “We are interested in collaboration. Turkmenistan shares many historical and cultural ties with Iran, and through films we can work to promote peace and friendship.”
The 19th International Cinema Verite Festival is being held from December 10 to 16 at Mellat Cineplex in Tehran, Iran.
