Iran Has the Potential to Launch a Wildlife Documentary Film Festival
Ece Soydam, the Turkish documentary filmmaker believes that documentary cinema can adequately inform the public on issues surrounding wildlife preservation.
Ece Soydam, the Turkish documentary filmmaker, believes Iran has the potential to launch an independent wildlife documentary film festival or to open a section under this title as part of Iran Documentary Film Festival - Cinema Verite.
“Iranian documentary Cinema is so strong that it can easily launch such a festival and we're ready to lend a helping hand.” Ece Soydam added.
Ece Soydam pointed to her participance in the wildlife documentary workshop at this edition of the festival and said: “As I mentioned in that workshop, Wildlife documentaries are important on fronts. One is their role in introducing species and their characteristics, and one is promoting endangered ecosystems.”
This environmental activist believes that documentary cinema can adequately inform the public on issues surrounding wildlife preservation.
She added: The wildlife film festival we organized in Turkey was we'll received and we're hoping to be able to hold a second edition.
